You don’t have to deal with the remains of incomplete installation attempts. Instead you are in full control.
MSI files are prepared for being executed as part of scripts (which is the default way to automate such installation tasks in an enterprise environment). This means that customization options can not only be set when using an interactive installation wizard, like you would do when installing desktop software manually.
